Maynooth University is one of the Ireland’s largest universities and can trace it’s roots right back to 1795. It’s International Office is tasked with acting as the point of contact for all international students and for MU students wishing to study overseas. MU were already reaching out to students overseas, offering their excellent facilities, courses and safe study environments, but there was enormous potential to do more, and to reach a larger body of students. Pixelo Design were brought onboard to help freshen up the graphics of some of the MU brochures going out overseas. We worked closely with the International Office and created several brochures aimed at various markets and designed to convince overseas students that MU, and Ireland was the best place for them. We focused on several aspects. The safety and low crime rate of Ireland was a big one when targeting the American market, talking directly to parents fears for their children’s safety. That coupled with Ireland’s ancient past and beautiful scenery were highly successful in boosting conversion rates with the overseas market.
